Need a laptop recommendation £500-£700 bracket, non gaming 17 inch

Last laptop I bought was a Dell Inspiron 1525 back in 2008 which is now reaching the point of unusability (unsurprisingly...). I'm totally out of the loop on mobile CPU's, Apples mobile chip based stuff looks great but I don't really want to get into Apples ecosystem and Windows on ARM looks like it's a bit patchy from the limited reading I've done so it'll probably be a standard laptop CPU. As I say I'd like to play 4k movies with ease but won't be gaming on it and was hoping to get something in the 17 inch bracket for £500 - £700 region, could anyone advise? or if not advise on a specific model maybe warn me away from bad CPU's/recommend good ones, I'd like decent battery life and power rather than blazing performance in one or the other.
