I'm considering Electronics Boutique, Book Stores (in general, including Borders, Barnes&Nobles), Lowes, Blockbuster, Virgin Megastore, Target, Wal-Mart, Meijer, Best Buy. I have a bachelor's degree, but I still like the retail environment (although I'd like to be promoted eventually) -- do I mention my degree to employers? Anyone have the scoop on pay?

Right....do a good job first and then let them know they are even more valuable to them by having the degree also more valuable to possibly other companies needing your experience/knowledge. They should pay more to keep you then.

Yes. Their initial application can be done online.

I'm sorry, my sarcasm detector is broken...would you care to let the rest of us know if you were being sarcastic or not?

I'd aply at Victoria's Secret. Get to help all the hot babes try on their sexy Lingerie all day. heh heh.

Of course there's probably some 350 pounders that ome in looking for a nice Teddy too and that'd be pretty damn gross.

sorry buy == but

because of masses of corporate experiance..

fyi :
best buy hires a lot of screw ups that ACT like they know a lot. if you demand to get paid a lot, that is a big risk to them that you are an idiot. you are better off making base pay (10ish/hr) for the first 90 days, then when you have proven yourself you have more chance of making more

did that make sense?

Starbucks is a good place to work, pay is usually higher than normal "food service" type jobs. Full benefits for part time workers is probably the biggest thing.
