Ok just kidding on the hitman part. I just need someone to chew this Ebay frauder's a$$ out. First, here's what happened.

I and several other people we're ripped off by a member on Ebay. He takes payment and never sends the merchandise. I already contacted Ebay and they told me to wait till 30 days after the auction, yet while he is still selling stuff on Ebay and I am afraid other people are going to get hurt. So far the damages total $150 to $200, but can easily go up to $500 with his current auctions. I was hit the hardest at $131.00 He takes the money and never ships the items. I also filed a dispute through paypal, but they have no obligiation to refund my money. His Ebay name is surpluscrp@aol.com. The auction number I bidded on is 2741657787 which is an almost complete AMD XP computer. I was planning on either keeping or selling the compuiter depending on its condition. So far Ebay or Paypal is not helping me out and I truthfully don't think they will, but I can't let this scumbag get away with this crap. Something tells me he has a business, and if he does, I have more chances of retaliation.

I already have done some of research and here are the facts I found so far. Damn, I should be a detective. ;) heh

The paypal address revealed his name to be Andy Ellett, upon looking his user name on Ebay, I got this phone number: 434-239-7607 Don't bother calling, he never answers.

Doing a reverse lookup, I got this address. I think might be his home address.

Ellett, Andrew C
461 -B Oakland Circle
Lynchburg, VA 24502
(434) 239-7607

Note the name similiarity, Andy might be his nickname.

Now, another person who have been scammed gave me this address. This is totally unconfirmed and might not be even him. But I noticed alot of the stuff he sells could be regared as image equipment. Maybe its his work place? Or perhaps he closed the business, I don't know.
The phone number is a cell phone that does not take incoming calls.

Can someone near Lynchburg just please check this place out and see if he works there, or even if its still open?

Sux that you got ripped off, but I don't think posting the name, address and phone number of someone who MAY or MAY NOT be your defrauder is a wise thing to do.

You guys left negative feedback. Looks like nobody is buying from him anymore. As for scaring him, try dropping him a letter saying that you know his address and he better watch out. Trust me, that should be enough punishment.

I got the addresses from phone numbers the frauder used and posted on ebay. So if they are not him, it is him who is using other people's addresses, not me. Now the second phone number could be his work place. That I don't know, but I know the first one is his home address, and I will definitely send him a nasty letter.

Update:

Well, I got a package today from UPS. The computer was poorly packed. It was basically dropped in a Uhaul Box with very little foam. For the $35.00 I paid shipping, I expected a much more better packing job than this! The tracking number showed it was billed on the July 21 and then the shipper did not ship till Aug 11. The motherboard, CPU, RAM, and DVD-ROM drive was not in the box. Instead I got a case with a 400w power supply, 2 cdrom drives, and a 80mm fan. The case front panel is badly cracked. It is also missing all the screws and a little metal piece on the back for the cards to screw into. I can't even use the case as nothing will hold the cards. One of the cdrom drives is in excellent condition and working. The other cdrom drive front faceplate is smashed, but it works after I removed it. I need to do some testing on the powersupply. When I hooked it up to a known working computer, it did not POST, yet I was getting power from the 12V lines. The 80mm fan is a clear LED type and works. I managed to get $57.80 from the paypal dispute, but I am still out of lost of $75.20 So out of all the parts I purchased, all I got is a working 80mm LED fan, and one CDROM drive. I'd be lucky to get $20 for the fan and cdrom drive. Both of these parts will not even the total up to $75.20 that I lost.

I was 100% right on the money for the address except for the business name. I think the business name I listed moved from that address and this guy moved in. I still don't know where the paypal name Andy Ellett fits. An alias perhaps?

I already complained to the BBB. Ebay is not being very helpful. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but according to Ebay policies, I can only recover $1.00 since the value I bidded was not over $100. They don't consider shipping costs. Whoopie do! $1.00

Here is the label on the UPS shipping label.

I don't know if this guy is an idiot, a stupid kid, or what. Why did he even bother sending me anything. Besides the fan and cdrom drive, now I got more junk that's just gonna sit here. :(

Be happy that you got some money back and the two parts. I just got scammed out of $159 and I probably won't get a single dime of it back :|
