need a higher paying job

I'm working a supermarket right now, busting my butt to make $6 an hour.

I need a higher paying job, and one where I can sit down. I know computers. Have personal experience putting together systems, troubleshooting, etc. (have A+, started working on MCSE). I also can type pretty fast.

What else is out there for someone like me? (btw, yes, I am going back to college)

edit: So when should I quit? (see my post below)

Move to Oregon. Work for my company. Get screwed, get laid off a year later, get rehired, then get treated like a decent employee. 🙂

go to ur school employment office and see if there are any tech jobs for students. those job r usually pretty laid back and easy. and pays better then $6/hr... hopefully.

o crap.. thats aweful.. no offense, but yer not handicapped are ya? 6 bucks! holy cow i found a job pretty easily that pays a few times that at a few years younger age... ask around!

Well, lots of bigger cities have telemarketers jobs available. You can easlily make $10 hour there.

Sucks if you have problems being rejected though.

Other option is tech support.

🙂

Tech support jobs can be hard to find, and hard to get into, especially in this market. that's why I said them second.

Okay, I get the picture.

So when should I quit? This is my first job (used to be self-employed), and I don't want it to look like failure to the next place.

Look for data entry, if you can find it they are usually $9-12 an hour. If you have A+ why not look at a local computer store for a technician job?
