The title says it all, I have heared that WINE might have some Direct X support is that true, and if it is what are my chances on getting RA2 to run without this CEDEGA stuff.

I forgot to mention that It tells me the following on the start of setup :
it tells me that I need to update this file on my system COMCTL32.dll and reboot .
So before I go on a dll hunt I would like to know if there were any sucessful RA2 installations through WINE.

ok I copied the file westwood into the WINE directory it seems to launch right the only problem is that I have lost my Ra2 cd when I was moving to my newplace and I have to go through 20 boxes to find it , I am trying to make it run in Fedora Core 4 and the screen pops up asking me to put the CD in since I am running it out of my backup CD, can anyone recommend a good no cd patch ?

Why should I pay money for Cedega that might some times and fail some times, while I have WinXp pro installed in dual boot and the game is garuianteed to work on XP ? And the game seems to be running normally, except for online play which is not an area I am intrested in in RA 2 . If I hadn't lost my original RA 2 cd in that stockpile of boxes I would have known right away but till now I am getting the same message that I get in windows concerning the CD, If only I can get a decent working No CD patch sigh...
