Need a good webcam

I need to buy a webcam--- I would like 640x480 res, and would like to be able to use it as a standalone (read: carry around with me) digital camera, too. I think that CC has an intel (bleah!) model for like $65 sticker price, and a $30 rebate= $35. Anyone use this? Any recommendations for other brands/models? Any help is appreciated! TIA.
