In interviews they always ask me a weakness of mine and I never have a good response. Can anyone here give me a good weakness for my interview today?

Thanks,

Tri

Letting other people help you with your projects. You are a perfectionist and many times try to do everything yourself without letting other team members assist. *shrug*

I think I might use the Kryptonite answer to get a laugh and lighten up the mood. Think this would be a good idea?

Tell them you love the wimminz, and can't help expressing it to them. That, along with your tourette's, puts you in an awkward situation from time to time.

thats a little risky

if i was the interviewer youd get a chuckle out of me, but some other guys may not be like that. i like a joker, people who can crack jokes at work always brighten up the day...its not work when your having fun.

but i dunno, i would maybe not bother with the jokes...might make you look a little unproffessional or not serious enough

My analytical nature sometimes makes it difficult for me to express myself simply to coworkers. I find I often give people more information than they are looking for, especially about complex subjects.

i always gave them something outside of work. For the position i am currently in i think my exact response was....

"I hate that I have a 4 step approach when I bowl. I would like to be good at a 5 step approach to work on my game."

Given, i know a little bit more to back this information up, but i kind of throw them off. After all, if they don't ask for weakness "at work" or "in a work place" then don't give them one in the work place IMO.

That is not that great of one. Collaboration (working with others) is one that you should not put as a negative. The perfectionist part is a little better.

Smithers: What would each of you say is your worst quality?
Man 1: Well, I <am> a workaholic.
Man 2: I push myself too hard.
Homer: Well, it takes me a long time to learn anything, I'm kind of a goof-off...
Smithers: Okay, that'll do.
Homer: ... a little stuff starts disappearing from the workplace...
Smithers: That's enough!

This first one happens to me all the time. If I ever do another interview, I might use that one.

That would be great, but you have to read the interviewer first. If they are straight-laced, not showing any humor, you'll want to stay away from stuff like that. Even if you are able to use a joke, you'll still need to think of something to keep the mood light, but let him/her know you want the job, and aren't trying to skip around questions. Like someone suggested earlier, you have to state a strong point disguised as a weakness, like the overanalyzing. Or, you can say your weakness is asking too many questions at times, that you're afraid of annoying those with your questions.

Tell the interviewer that your main weakness point is that you touch yourself at night, he'll be understanding of that I am sure!

I am in sales and I always say I can have a tendancy to talk to much. And that it is something I am aware of and working on.
