Need a good way to test if a card is overheating...

I'm not interested in seeing how fast an old GF3 Ti500 card performs, I just want to be able to reliably and repeatably be able to test if it is overheating which I suspect it is (freezes occassionally during heavy graphics load)...

I thought of 3D Mark at first, but perhaps there's a more consistent stress tester out there that wil heat the card more quickly and more uniformly to confirm is the failure mode is a function of heat?

Yes there's something better than 3D Mark
And it's called D9RHDRIBL a.k.a. DirectX 9 Realtime High Dynamic Range Image-Based Lighting
It runs in a window, so you can keep monitoring the card if you've got a sensor connected.

I don't think those cards came with onboard temp sensors. You may have to go out and get somting like one of these.
