Check out this AT Link

You're find prices a lot less and checkout Cyberpower for several computers. I run 3 on one.

why not get an idea here and then see what you can find or ask more specific questions.

are you just wanting to keep a couple boxes on? or do you want the boxes + peripherals + etc to stay powered? if it's the latter then you're way out of luck for that budget, used or not.

I've got a Tripp-Lite (no idea what the model# is) that I paid $350 for new that's been running strong for 5+ years backing up my box, a 21" CRT, modem and WAP.. it'll keep everything running for 12-15 minutes after the power goes out which is plenty of time to shut everything down in an orderly fashion.

If you want that kind of run time buy a generator
plug a few small ups's into that and the computers into those

Thats the only way of getting that kind of time without taking over the house with batteries :p

well all the computers run LCD monitors. maybe im wrong but i thought the biggest drain on UPSs is CRTs

CRT's do use more than LCD's but even a fairly large CRT will use less than most computers. I hate to tell you but it's going to take a LOT of battery power to run a few systems for a few hours. The only way I can think of would be to get a Smart-UPS XL and a few external battery packs for it. I have a Smart-UPS 1500 (which contains 2 12V 17AH batteries) and it estimates it could run my system for only 90 minutes (yes I have an LCD). And just so you know, buying a used APC UPS will void the Equipment Protection Policy.

I would check out the APC 1500 with extra battery or a 2200

Should be able to find either on ebay for around 200

The 1500 I have will run my 2 boxes 20" LCD and all the newtork crap for around 25 minutes
but I also need to replace my battery as its getting old and I used to get 45-50 minutes
