i just got an ati tv wonder 200 tv tuner. i know that its cheap but it works well. i currently use the included catalyst media center, but i would like to know what my other options are. i would like one that has a electronic program guide. thanks

beyondtv works quite well and has a lot of great features. It'll cost you about $60 or so, but it's worth it. Yahoo has one based on Medio TV that is pretty nice, but not as nice as beyondtv, in my opinion. The big advantage to the Yahoo software is that it's free, so it doesn't hurt to give it a test drive.

beyondtv also offers a free trial, if I'm not mistaken.

windows media center is pretty good and its included in vista home premium and ultimate (so if you are planning on upgrading thats an incentive). Otherwise snapstream (pay), sagetv (pay), meedio (now owned by yahoo, its free),got all media (free), and media portal (free), are all good (free ones are harder to set up).

strange, I didn't see tdawg's reply till I posted mine (and the edit button does not seem to be working for me at the moment).

DScaler is a decent free program. I had the same card and was happy with the quality that DScaler gave over the bundled software. It supports EPG, but I was never able to get it to work...
