Anyway, I tried two conversational Spanish classes and learned to read at a kindergarten level.

1 vote for Rosetta Stone here. I can say that it is well made but I haven't tried other programs to compare it to.

never tried it myself, but Fluenz has the best customer reviews on Amazon of any language learning software. The bad news is it's even costlier than Rosetta Stone!

I've tried learning Spanish via ESP and by eating lots of tacos. Usually, leaving a good tip at a taqueria will result in the waitress claiming that my Spanish is good.

Thus, my suggestion, leave good tips, it will make your Spanish better!

Check out LiveMocha.com, they have free lessons and you can practice with Spanish speakers.
