Need a good single player FPS

Tired of RTS, need some action. Any good shooter with a story? The last one I liked was Star Wars: Republic Commando. It needs to be rated T, btw.

Woah.. I was playing the M rated games when I was like seven or eight, what's wrong with him? (Maybe even five, because of killer instinct) I remember playing Diablo one and being scared out of my mind because of the butcher and some of the very dark levels.. (ALL OF 'EM)

Seriously.. What shooter is good that is rated T? :-/ I really don't know of any.

I don't believe a truly GOOD fps exists in the T rating category. Maybe something along the lines of the Battlefield series?

System Shock 2 is IIRC rated M, but shouldn't be IMO. The blood/gore is minimal. It'll scare the living crap out of a kid though. Scared the living crap out of me a few times (and I'm 20).

hah, sucka - i did a 23hit killer with orchid, and using the ultra combo got to 40. booya

although fulgore >>>>> orchid by far

#1. M games are inappropriate for a few certain members of my family. Those few like to watch me play. I only have so much free time, and any spent with them is great. I'd rather have them there than an M game.

#2. Yes, good T shooters are hard to find, but that's why I made this topic. I could have found a good shooter easily, but not a T one.

#3. Here are some of the games that I was hoping someone could tell me about:

BlackSite: Area 51 ($5 on Gogamer)
GRAW1 and 2

Unless you have a good spec computer, don't get Blacksite. Also don't get it if you have any desire for a good game.

How about UT2k4? It's not mission oriented, but it's still pretty fun to play in single. You can turn off mature taunts, and reduce gore. I don't find it too bad with all options on though. My daughter has been watching me play since she was 5.

I like MOHAA for an older game. That's one I've wanted to return to, but haven't gotten around to it.

Tron 2.0, haven't played it but heard it's pretty good and being older you can find it pretty cheap
Portal, have played and aside from all the awards it is an awesome game. I didn't realize it until I looked but the HL games are rated M... But you can get Portal separate now although it's $20 and I can't whole heartily recommend it at that price

I wish I could get it running right. I have it on Steam but no amount of trickery (searched and tried everything suggested) will fix the dialog breaking half-way through every sentence. Definitely one of the best gaming experiences out there.
