Need a good router for home use

I presently have a Netgear WGR614 router. When my cable internet connection is routed through it, the best speed I can get on any attached device is about 3-4.5 Mbps. When I connect a machine directly to the modem, I can get 7-9 Mbps. So apparently my router is gobbling up bandwidth.

My setup is:

Router (latest non-beta firmware)
2 wired PC's + Xbox + 3 wireless laptops
Switch
3 wired PC's on the switch

While running the speed test through the router I made sure that no other devices were using bandwidth. This is only effecting download - upload is peachy.

So can anybody reccomend to me a good router, that won't make half my bandwidth disappear? My requirements are:

-Easy port-forwarding (the ability to open ranges (i.e. 2300-2400), I can't stand routers that only let you open one at a time (i.e. 2300, 2301, 2302, 2304... ...2399, 2400))
-The ability to set static LAN IP's
-Wireless G support
-Xbox Live and Nintendo WiFi compatible
-4/5 port switch

Bonuses:

-8+ port switch
-built-in print server
-built- in USB drive support
-built-in network drive

Any suggestions? 🙂
