Are you sure you need 500W? If you're not running SLI or 5xHDs then you don't.

Fortron for budget, Seasonic/Enermax/Other for higher price range.

What do you want the PSU to be? Quiet? Modular cables? Pretty?

Unless you have a monster server with 15 hds and dual processors, this PSU will work well.

I'm all about over kill. Pluss I do have 4 SATA HD and SLI along with a hand full of fans to keep every thing nice an cool. Also 500W Power supplys just arnt that $$$ so why not. in a perfict world you should not use more than 80% of you power supply any way.

I just replaced my OCZ 600w with this Hiper 580w and i LOVE it!

IMO, its the best psu i ever owned. (and ive owned ALOT)
