I need to get a good power supply box. I would need a switch toggle for 120v-240v and would also need over 250W. Preferably 300W.

I see a Antec ATX 300w at egghead for $40. Any suggesions ?

Sparkle is probably the best name in power supplies as far as i can tell. I don't and have not owned one tet but would in a second from the rave reviews everyone around here gives them.

I also highly reccommend Sparkle power supplies. I have used 2 Sparkle's (1 AT and 1 ATX) since my P75 and I have never had the slightest problem. I did notice that it was better with overclocking my CPU than another two I tried. Sparkle is the best. Gotta love the powerful ball bearing fan. You can also find them under the names Fortran and Power Man.

Sillyputty: Thats also what I thought the first time I read the name.

I just bought a 400W Sparkle PS yesterday. It is pretty quiet, though there is one thing about it that bothers me. Even though it is an ATX PS, the exhaust fan blows towards the front of the case, instead of down. The exhaust fan is less than a inch away from the back of my cdrom drives. This really stagnates the air circulation in the case. I don't know why they did that, I thought the ATX spec required the exhaust fan to blow down over the CPU.

Frankly, I'd get anything over 300watts from PC Power And Cooling.... they make alot of good stuff there, although its a bit priceier than others, but you pay for the quality.

oh, my current setup strained my sparkle 300W that i got with my sc750a. i am running with 2 PSes right now... :p sparkle is great, any less and i would have strained it a long time ago.

and pcpowerandcooling does not MAKE their PSes, they actually get them elsewhere....

What do you have in your system to strain a 300W Sparkle PS Mday? I have 3 7200RPM HD's, a 15kRPM HD, 5 PCI cards, a CLAP2, a CDROM drive, a CDR drive, a DVD drive, and 4 USB peripherals powered by the bus. They were all running on fine on the 300W PS that came with my case, an AOpen HX-08.
