If you want to develop and run Java on a PDA, I would recommend this. It's OS is Linux and Java based so it's easy to work with and there are thousands of great freeware programs available for it. It's got a good following of people. You'll need a WiFi CF card to get wireless though.

The iPAQ series has always been a fovorite of mine. The h5455 h5555 h4350 (built in keyboard) and h4150 (very slim!) all have 802.11b and bluetooth wireless built in.

The toshiba e805 also has built in 802.11b with the advantage of a much higher screen resolution, downside being that I find it to be too big and square.

I think screen resolution might be an issue depending on what webpages/applications you will be using. most pocket pcs have a 320x240 screen, even the e805 is only 640x480. You may find that buying a older thin and light laptop will suit you better, an ibm x21/x22 would give you a 12" screen at 1024x768 resolution and is only 3.5lbs.

if you're serious about web browing, i really think u need one w/ VGA screen.

Toshiba has one that has VGA and (i think) wi-fi
