I recently got a small promotion at work. And they would like me to get some classes in to learn basic eletronics. Stuff I'd need to learn about would include, AC/DC principles, ohms law, circuit boards and how they work. My company deals with VME,CPCI,ATCA stuff. I need to trouble shoot problems we have with different boards and such. Does anyone know of any online schools that offer some kind of certification for programs and such? I can't seem to find any.

Thanks

Similar. Not something that is 4 years or so. Just something basic.

You probably need to know more than the basics if you are going to do troubleshooting.
Moreover, I seriously doubt you can learn practical electronics online.
Most of the engineers that I come across that spent a few month or so studying circuit theory as part of their eduction don't know much about practical electronics and some don't even know how to use an oscilloscope; mainly because they never spent much time in a lab actually building something/trobleshooting.
The theory is only part of what you will need to know.
Electronics is very much a learning-by-doing subject.

Many local community colleges offer excellent associates programs and courses for people needing training in the electronics field. These usually include some practical lab work and would be right up your alley.
