A gtx460 would be faster than a gtx550ti. A gtx560 is slightly better than a gtx460, and can probably be found used for right around $100. From the looks of it, everyone here recommending an hd7750 over a gtx460 or better for Diablo 3 needs to have their heads examined. The minimum AMD recommendation to get >= gtx460 performance would be an hd5830, and those cards are rare.

OP, look for gtx460's if you want to stick with Nvidia or hd6850's or hd5850's if you don't mind switching to AMD.

Thank you all who have posted. What I'm going to do is actually show him this thread later today and see what he thinks. I could get him a 550ti tomorrow for 120 and have it running. However, I'd have to sink more into it lol. I mean Diablo 3 will run on an x4500hd chip, not high res, but it will. So, anything is an upgrade and that laptop he had was ... Well junk. So this system, as it's not as powerful as many, is just to make him happy and be able to play Diablo 3 with it looking good, you know?

Like I said before, I spent a good bit just getting what I have for him, but I am strapped for cash now. He's got I think $95, which is only for video since the 8800 died. But, anyways, thank you for all the suggestions!
