My aunt's 8RGA got fried in the recents storms that passed through michigan so I'm looking for a new one... need something, preferably with integrated graphics so I don't have to spend more money on a video card. Looking for something as cheap as possible... one with integrated 10/100 would be nice too. I've looked around on Newegg but it's so damn hard to find what I'm looking for without going through motherboards one by one.

Shuttle MN31N is a full-fledged MCP-T-equipped board with dual-VGA, I got one for my mom's rig :) It came with a pair of Firewire outlets on a PCI blank too, despite Newegg's photos not showing that (last I checked). Sorry to hear about the death of the old board... you think the rest of the hardware survived?

Newegg

Computer Hardware>Motherboards>AMD

Under System Chipset: choose NVIDIA nForce2 IGP.

That'll bring up everything they have.

Fellow Michigander here. Tornado watch right now.

Hard drive is fine, RAM is fine, don't know about CPU yet... I guess it should at least POST in my KT266 board even though it's an XP2500 with a 333 Mhz FSB and won't run at it's intended speed, right? Don't know about the CD-ROM and floppy drive either. The board has an LED on it that shows diagnostic codes, and when it powers on it shows FF, and doesn't do anything... FF isn't even listed on the chart, so I figured the board was dead.

Not sure if it'll POST on a chipset that old. How'd the PSU do, is it toast too? I suppose it would be, if it was what got the primary zappage. Or was it the network/phone line perhaps...

PSU seems to be fine... fans power on... checked voltages and they look fine. I was hoping it might be something simple like bad RAM... but the RAM is fine, works in my computer. Don't think the zap came down the network line because she has a router and you'd think that would be destroyed first if it did, and it didn't, it works fine. She said they lost power twice... so I'm thinking one of the times when the power came back on the puter got a little spike... didn't actually take a lightning bolt =)
