I'm in the midst of drafting a business plan for a start-up which I hope to get online by the end of Jan or so. I'm looking for a cool name that wouldn't sound cheesy/unprofessional. The target market will be silent computing enthusiasts but I will likely be also selling some items for performance enthusiasts. I'm hoping to come up with something distinctive and memorable and preferably only one word.

Here's what I've come up with

Quiexon (quiet connection)
Silentech (silent techonolgies)
Muted Sounds Systems (I don't really like this one but maybe someone can come up with something good from it) -
Quilage (derived from tranquil)

So far I have to say that I like the sound of Quiexon (K-WEE-ECK-SHI-ON) but I think the spelling might confuse constomers and they might have difficulty remembering it. I'm hoping to find something for which I could register a domain name, I'll post more as I brainstorm some more.

Please post what you think of what I've got so far or if you've got other ideas, that'd be great too :)

There are a ton of great domains which recently expired.

Go here to find some sources.

Soundless Systems - I like :)
Nirvana Technologies - not my style
Halcyon Computers - I REALLY like but halcyoncomputers.com and halcyonsystems.com are already taken
MuTech - Nice improvement on te Mued Sound Systems

Any thoughts on my Quiexon name? I *personally* really like the name but I'd like some feedback on it. I find it has a nice connotation, is distinctive and pretty memorable, but I want to see what every one else thinks :)

Quiexon is clever but I bet you NONE of your customers will figure it out. Also it reminds me of Don Quixote, which, while not necessarily bad, has nothing to do with computers.

Thought of another one:

VSOPs (Very Silent OPerations). Easy to remember and connotative with fine cognac (i.e., high quality). ;)
