Whatsa good mouse for gaming and surfing? Oh and usb or ps/2?

Try the MS IntelliMouse Explorer... or maybe the MS IntelliMouse Optical if you can stand its weirdly straight shape.

Yes, but MS mice have like a lifetime warranty. True, I've killed a few IntelliMouse Explorers, but every time one flakes out, I can just call MS tech support and they'll send a new one (I actually have an IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0 here that I need to swap with my normal IntelliMouse Explorer whose back button is screwed up... so they upgraded me for free). And when they're not flaked out, they're nice...

I have NEVER killed a MS mouse, what in the world are you doing to those poor little creatures?

100% MS mouse fan

I'm not sure... using them? ;-)

The MS Mouse 2.0 (the normal kind, without wheel, etc) that I got years and years ago still works, but my IntelliMouse Explorers have had problems upon problems. The first one had the left mouse button go crazy; like, in some cases, a single click would be interpreted as a double click, or it would just "unclick" while dragging stuff around. The second one just randomly froze up. The third (which I'm still using, since I don't feel like shutting down my box to swap it with the replacement one I got) has the same problem as the first one, but with the "Back" button at the left, so sometimes when you click it, it registers as two clicks.

I don't know why I've had such a bad luck, but at least MS support has always been excellent.

i love my wisetech optical, you can get them for under $10 and they work great
i've hadmine for over a vear now and its still good as new
