i know i am a rookie so forgive me if this question is dumb....i just checked the specs on the abit and it says upto 700mhz. will it work with my 1 ghz p3???
thanks!!
also, does anyone know where i can score one of these?? pricewatch and other web sites wont give me any hits when i type in that name.
If you can find an ASUS P3V4X, that is a good stable mobo which will support slot one, 1 ghz PIII cpu's but they are getting hard to find. I'll be replacing mine soon with a Tualatin mobo socket 370
this is what it comes down to......anyone with any moajor opinions. and most importantly, i cant seem to find anyone that sells these boards!!! any ideas as to which vendors??
Abit BF6
Asus P3B-F was of my most stable motherboards i ever owned........not alot of fsb options tho
Soyo 6BA+III had this board as well..........did very well for me
Asus P3V4X.........i had some problems with this board . after fixing those problems it proved to be very good as well
You can read the reviews of these moboa from that AT main page, under the motherboards section. The final conclusion that the Anandtech reviewers gave the Soyo sy6ba+iv board was....
<< Soyo's done it again with the SY-6BA+IV - they've gone head to head with ABIT and come out on top. The SY-6BA+IV offers all the features of the ABIT BE6 and more. The selection of FSB speeds is currently unsurpassed in the market and matched only by the SY-6BA+III. If you were considering the ABIT BE6 or held off buying an SY-6BA+III due to the lack of Ultra ATA 66 support, make sure you put the SY-6BA+IV on your list as well. >>
the rest of that review can be seen right ....here
