need a good message board/bbs

Well Yahoo has merged its clubs into its group and is now full of advertising and spam.

Can anyone suggest a good message board or bbs service with out all the advertising?

Any ideas?

I've never had any problems using Yahoo Groups, what's wrong with a little advertising? It's really not that bad when you look at others.
