Need a good free backup utility

Alright, im on a team that will be competing in the midwest cyber defense competition. We can only use programs that are free. We also have a fair playing field with the other 7 teams and we will not have the ability to make bootable cds because we wont have a burner.
We will have a usb key to use though, and we will have one laptop to use to download free software. I need to find a good backup utility that is free that we can use on the windows machines. We will be setting these up so we can make multiple partitions from the start. I would like to be able to copy everything from the windows partition to another and be able to recover it from a usb boot or something else in case the windows install gets totally fragged. I know there are some gurus hangin around here so please point me in the right direction.
 
thats pretty cool, thanks. i found another one on the windows ultimate boot cd called self image. it can do over the network transfers to windows shares and samba shares. i will check out this g4u as well though, it looks pretty good.
