I've shaved every other day for quite a while now, This is mostly because I tend to get terrible razor burn shaving every day (first with the grain, then against, because my hair grows very angular and close to the face), and also the hair grows slowly and isn't thick enough to look terrible after only 24 hours. More so and it starts to look scruffy.

Well the new gf really hates the feel of the stubble, so recently it's had to go daily. However I'm finding that my face is very angry with that choice, getting ingrown hairs left and right.

What kind of quality electric razor would I need for a close shave? I'm not talking baby smooth, just good enough to keep my face from having that stubbly feeling during the day. I used one about 8 years ago when it all was first starting to grow in, and found that (possibly due to the angular hair growth) it really didn't cut close at all. I'm thinking they've probably improved since then?

Please no DE safety suggestions...I seriously considered them for a long time before deciding I don't have the daily time for them.

Hey Ricky,

Hows it going. Most of them do not work worth a hoot...stick to blades.

Later Ricky.

I hear you man. I can tell you I've tried a Panasonic unit that totally sucked ass and a norelco that was better than the panasonic but just didn't do it for me. Each time I give up and go back to blades for a few years. My next and quite possible final try will be with a Braun. <shamWow>You know the German's make good stuff</shamWow>.

Seriously tho, I watched this TLC program on German industries and Braun takes shaving VERY seriously. It's like $200 on Amazon but it might be worth it...

That's the one I have. Bought it 6 months ago and it works like a charm.

Don't let the elitist snobbery of the non-electric brigade get you down, this razor works very well and is a huge time saver for those of us that can't, or don't want to, spend 30 minutes shaving every morning.
