Need a good digital photo organizer

I used to use Image Expert, which came with my camera, to organize my photos. However, after I made the switch to WinXP, it crashed on me, so I'm not sure if it works on WinXP. The website for it says that WinXP doesn't support Image Expert. So, now I need a good image viewer/photo organizer type program to replace Image Expert.

Have you tried running Image Expert in Win2K compatability mode?
As a recommendation, I like Picasa for a very simple photo organizer and touch-up editor.

Thanks, but what's Win2K compatibility mode?

I am not on my WinXP box right now, but I believe you do the following.
Use your favorite explorer to find the Image Expert executable (not a shortcut). Right click and there should be a compatability item in the menu. This will bring up a dialog that allows you to run it in Win2K mode. From this point on everytime the executable is run, WinXP will run it in Win2K compatability mode.

And win2k compatability mode is...?

Sorry, guess I didn't answer the question. Win2K compatability allows you to run programs written for Win2K on a WinXP box. I have only tried it with one program and it did work.
