Need a Good Dial-up ISP

Right now I'm on Earthlink, and that charges $20/month for unlimited access. I tried People PC (or whatever it is) because I got a cd in the mail, but that consistantly kicks me off after 2 or 3 hours of connection. Does anyone know of something cheaper out there that leaves your connection alone?

...Those $15/month Verizon dsl ads are really started to annoy me.

I have used Intergate.com for the last few years ($10.00 /mo, $8.50/mo with a year pd in advance).. I can't say that I haven't lost connections either, but most of the time I was able to DL what I needed to. But you really can't depend on dial-pu for really long sessions or huge DLs.

I just got hooked up on that Verizon deal this morning (about 2.5 days ahead of schedule) and it is quite nice. You should know that several companies are offering similar deals. Don't you have DSL connections available in your area? You should get on the stick and find out as some of these offers end at midnight on the 31st...

There is a site called http://www.DSLReports.com that should be able to help you with finding out if DSL is available on your phone number and who can provide the service in your area. Worse to worse, you could check the web site of each local land-line, telephone service provider that lists in your yellow pages.

I use qwickconnect.net. it's a nationwide dialup service that should have numbers for pretty much anywhere. i live in west virginia, and have had it for about 2 months, pretty good so far. occasional disconnections and busy signals, but have never not been able to get online in less than 10 minutes. $6.95 a month and no contracts.

Apparently Schnozz doesn't follow his threads too closely. IAC, I forgot to mention that Intergate gives you up to 100 mail boxes and 100MB of disk space for a personal web site. Pretty good coverage of News Groups too. Not bad for $10. They guarantee "no busy signals" which has been true in my experience, but that doesn't mean you'll get a server connection every time... ;)

I do! I've been trying Intergate for 5 or 6 days now. I came back to thank you for the suggestion (it=good), but when I saw tater's I decided to wait until I had tried his as well.

So thank you both; I'll definitely be choosing one of them. :)
