As as the title says, I need to replace the stock cooler on my pc. I am liking the looks of the AC Freezer 7 Pro for ~$22 from the egg but then I have to pay shipping and tax since I am in CA. I am looking to spend up to $35 for a really good one or a little less for the freezer 7. Who evers deal I pick gets the $10 off anything :)

The Freezer 7 is a great cooler for the price.

The CM Hyper TX2 provides similar results and it's only $7 AR

For better performance at the top of your budget, the Scythe Mini-Ninja works well

go into Fry's - you won't get the rebate but they stock CM TX2's and IIRC priced approx $20 - don't have to mess with shipping or rebates plus you can return the thing pretty much no questions if you don't like it

*I'm in LA too and bought one of those from the Fry's in Manhattan

But I noticed you have a Sonata case - you won't be able to use the side air duct thingy most of those come with (every one after the Sonata original IIRC)

Really depends on your needs - if you're going to based off price go Freezer 7 Pro or TX2 but don't expect to get good OC temps with them - they do preform well at stock or very mild OC's but can't touch the Mini-Ninja

The CM TX2 does not seem to have as good reviews as the Freezer 7 pro. Newegg may have the best price for the Freezer 7 because most websites have $10 shipping!

Well decided to go with newegg and get the Freezer 7! Turns out it was the cheapest

First one to PM me asking for the code gets it! :)

Why you worried about shipping. Even with shipping and tax newegg its normally still cheaper on most items then most other places. im in cali by the way.

I'm confused by that statement - I've used both and found them generally speaking to be basically identical in performance

I only didn't keep the TX2 as I got a Freezer 7 Pro for 10 bucks used local off someone

I read the newegg reviews and all of them said that it was a difficult install on intel systems whereas the AC didn't seem to have that problem

if 148 people clicked on these newegg link, the price of each sink is now offically more expensive.

So OP, by them doing this, you just allowed newegg to hike there price. They raise price on traffic hits the item gets.

So my recomendation is also the same as the guy who recomended frys. And sometimes the egg loses to the frys in price expecially if your a CA resident. You save on shipping by going to frys.

Also the CM and AF are the same exact sink with a little tweeks on the CM. They perform almost the same, and generate near the same amount of noise.

Also, i dont really care about the 10 dollar PC club reward, you really didnt have to offer it and people would of helped you out anyways.
