Need a Good Computer Desk. Suggestions?

Title says it all. I'm getting ready to move into a new house in St. Petersburg, FL and I need to furnish the whole thing 🙂 I want to get a decent computer desk that will allow me to put 2 or 3 computers plus monitors/keyboards/mice on it. Anyone have any suggestions or links? I can't seem to find a single online retailer or store that floats my boat yet.

I saw a show once where they built the desk into the corner of the room using minimal materials. Had the right support and bracing. Looked cheap and easy to do. This is what I am going to try soon.

Where is this goinbg to be placed? Along a wall or in a corner? I'll bet there are some retty cheap sets at staples/lowes types of places that may work. If necessary, you could always add extra support...

The room it's going in is pretty good size so I can use any kind of desk I want (corner desk, L shape, U shape, etc.) as long as it fits my needs. All the desks I've found thus far are really only designed to have one computer because most of them have only one keyboard tray and no other area where you can realistically put another keyboard/mouse and be comfortable.

How about this. Goto office supply that sells HON Office Furniture. Hon makes a solid, heavy formica table with metal frame/legs 30" X 60" X 26" high. Plain. No drawers. It's not cheap. $200 - $300 as I recall.

Or you could look around for a laminating plant that manufactures counter tops, etc. These places can make anything, any size, any color.

IF you have the tools .. i.e band saw, basic knowledge, basic planning, auto sanders, etc just buy some wood and build it your self ... most all desks I see over the net suck .. and at officemax and whatnot as well .. Unless of course you wanna pay like 600$-800$ or something.. which is ridiculous for something that you normally arent completely satisfied

I am planning to go to Lowes and get some counter tops, braces and metal legs and build myself an L shape desk. I think that is the cheapest route to go and you can build whatever you want. It should be pretty simple to do.

he's got a 24 LCD monitor I don't think he cares about money, but I bought a big Dinner table at the Brick on Sale it was like $40 pretty stable I have a 19" CRT and 15"LCD Printer and 2 sets of speakers web cam D CAM + Dock and there is still lots of room on it. but not enough for another pc Comfortable.
