need a good CD-Rom for burning

I need a good CD-ROm for burning up to 40X off of. My current ACER will only allow me to burn music off of it at 8X max and I got a 40X CDR drive that is looking pointless now!!!!!

I burn at 40x using Memorex 40x media and a Lite-On 40x12x48x CD-RW.

Hi, that is the burner I have. What I need to know is what type of CD-ROm to use(not CDR). My Acer only can rip music off of it at 8X, not nearly close to 40X, so basicly I have all that waisted speed on my burner.


Anyone know a good CD-Rom OR DVD-Rom???????

are you talking about software, not the ROM it self?

hum... do u mean you want to copy CD to CD?
well, i do that like this:
- make image of the CD to HDD (using CloneCD)
- then i burn the image to the writer
so I can write at 24x
I'm using Acer 52x CDROM and LiteOn 24x10x40 CD-RW 🙂
