Seems to me like there are a lot of MC's out there, just not a good VISA.

Any suggestions?

whatever you do don't get a CIBC Visa........... CIBC sucks :p

I myself have had a RBC Visa for a long time. Nothing special.

Basically CIBC sucks in general :)

I've delt with them as a business customer (business accounnt & CC machines) and I was a consumer customer (RRSP's & ivestments).

Bottom line they suck at service :p

What's wrong with Mastercard?

The Canadian Tire Options Mastercard is good. Racks up CT money pretty easily.

I've had a TD GM Visa for a few years, got it when I was as student. I guess I've forfeited my student credit now since I haven't used it in time, but if GM ever comes out with a car that appeals to me I'll have all that credit built up.
It's a good alternative to the RB and CIBC cards which don't give you much of anything as far as rewards go, although they do have something.

Some places don't take MC. THerefore I need a VISA. CIBC needs a minimium of $15K to get a VISA CC. Any other options?

I used to have a Visa and was hesitant to start using the Mastercard. However I have been using it for 4 years now and have never come across a place that didn't take mastercard.

Gas ends up being 2-3cents per litre cheaper then anywhere else after the reward.
