I'm looking for a good and safe/malware free torrent client for windows 8.1 so I can get my first Raspberry Pi up and running. Any suggestions?

qBittorent

"The qBittorrent project aims to provide an open-source software alternative to µTorrent.

Additionally, qBittorrent runs and provides the same features on all major platforms (Linux, macOS, Windows, OS/2, FreeBSD)."
Thank you. That one seems to come up a bunch when doing a quick search for best torrent client.

Transmission is good, and lightweight.

The Windows version of Transmission never seems as polished as Linux and macOS, at least to me. On Windows I use qBittorrent, and Transmission everywhere else.

I just switched to qbittorrent after using utorrent for the last 10 years. My only real complaint is it doesn't remember last saved location.

deluge is also a nice utorrent alternative

I been using qbit and it works awesomely.

Tried many others and they all lacked in some manner.

qBittorrent and never looked back. Like stated it's very much like uTorrent, just minus the bs.

I've heard good things about Deluge but never got around to trying it.
