Need a general tutorial about how video data is processed and rendered to the monitor

Hi everyone,

I have read many interesting technical articles from Anandtech about different SOC's video performance. To help myself to better understand them in the future, I just want to find a general technical tutorial about how the video data is processed and rendered to the screen. For example, how the CPU send the request to GPU and how the GPU process the data and send the fames to the monitor with certain resolution. I haven't found any good stuff online. Does anyone here have a good recommendation?:colbert::wub:

Also, any tutorial about the audio controller is also greatly appreciated! I have found it's even more difficult to find the resources for audio:$
