Need a general communications forum

On many occasions I've gone to start a thread and find the subject categories lacking. The one I run into most frequently concerns communications & protocols. Just now I'm sitting here trying to decide where to start a thread to discuss advanced google searches and on other occasions I've had the same trouble figuring out where to discuss certain ports.
These are things that all platforms and OS's share and I think anandtech could benefit with such a forum. Granted it would be a relatively quiet forum/sub-forum, yet I believe it would ultimately be very informative and beneficial.

Yes like tcp/ip. Protocols are software and the networking forum is in hardware. Same goes for this google question. Maybe it's nitpicking but it still feels like something is lacking.

The Networking forum definitely covers software and protocol issues. Or, depending on the complexity of your question, Highly Technical might work...
