Need a Gaming Laptop - $3000 Budget

I travel for a living and I have recently started to get back into PC gaming. I am interested in getting what I am starting to consider an 'impossible' laptop. My budget is $3000, but if I can spend less that is always better. I have looked at many laptops, but it seems like there is always some compromise that has to be made. I am looking for some guidance on which laptop you would recommend I purchase with my budget and the following desired features in mind.

Have to purchase from Amazon (I have gift cards to use)

7th Generation Intel Core i7 Processor
15.6" or 17.3" IPS display with NVIDIA G-SYNC (1440p or 1080p)
M.2 PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe slot (Multiple slots preferred)
Thunderbolt 3 (Full USB 3.1 Type C) port
NVIDIA GTX 1070/1080 GPU
DisplayPort or Mini DisplayPort output that supports 4k for home use
Support for 64MB of RAM (does not need to have this much already installed)

I would also consider the 1080 Max-Q but I have read that most prefer a 1070 over the 1080 Max-Q thus far. The price difference makes a good 1070 seem like a better deal from what I have seen.

I am looking for 'good' display here. I am not sure if it is better (more realistic) to look for 75Hz display or 120Hz display for the G-SYNC? Do you still benefit from a 120Hz display if you are only getting 75fps in a game for instance?

I am not overly concerned about noise, but if it does not sound like a jet engine that would be great. More concerned about good cooling, even if the trade-off is a louder laptop. I will likely be using headphones most of the time anyway.

I would also like it to have decent sound and networking capabilities, but I am guessing that most gaming laptops are going to be fine in both of these categories.

I will be using it plugged in most of the time, so battery life is not really a concern to me.

Finally, because I will travel with it, that means it will need to be lugged around in my backpack (a lot). Please try to keep weight and size in mind, but that does not mean I have to have an ultralight laptop either. Just something reasonably portable.

Hopefully this is enough information to go on, but please let me know if I can provide any further details.

Thanks Chapbass. This one seems to hit all the requirements, except it exceeds my budget.

Reviewers seem to indicate that it runs hot and the battery is non-replaceable.

Is it common for gaming laptops to not have replaceable batteries? Seems like a potential long term hassle.

I am also expanding to anyplace where I can pay using Amazon Pay.

The Acer Predator 17X got very good review on NotebookCheck and is in their ranking of Top 10 gaming laptops currently. On the big side, but it fills your requests.

i7-7820HK
17.3" screen with G-Sync in 4K or 1080P.
3 M.2 NVMe slots
Thunderbolt 3
GTX 1080
1 Displayport and 1 HDMI
Support for 64GB of RAM.
Available on Amazon.

$2,900 on Amazon with 4K panel, 32GB of RAM, 512GB of SSD, and 1TB HDD. http://a.co/iMa5bcC
$2,400 on Amazon for the 1080P variant with otherwise identical specs. http://a.co/aYQ3KBV

The one with 2x512GB SSDs does, but you could save 500 bucks if you went with 2x256GB SSDs/lesser cpu / 32GB memory / whatever.

I'm not sure if the memory is replacable, but if it is:

https://www.amazon.com/7th-Gen-i7-7...29&sr=1-2&keywords=gaming+laptop+gtx1080&th=1

get that one, yeah, its a slightly less CPU, but its still a beast. Upgrade it to 64GB of memory and put another SSD in there if you really want, you'll still come out in good shape imo.
