I have albums/folders that are FLAC encoded, I want to make them MP3 encoded for my MP3 player of course.
But the problem with most encoders is that they do not encode the whole folder which I want for cleanliness of my MP3 album list in my MP3 player. I can get "demos" of about anyone you can find.

Cdex / LAME has a batch conversion option, it preserves the directory layout if that is what you are after. I am sure that there is a FLAC plugin for it if it does not come built in.

If you just want to transcode flac to mp3 just to put it in a DAP, http://www.mediamonkey.com will do format conversions on the fly as part of the DAP sync.

I have all my audio on the PC (NAS actually) as FLAC and they magically become 320k mp3's when they go to my ipod. Sadly the current version of Media Monkey does not support transcoding to apple loseless but the next version might.
