If anybody has a windows xp pro upgrade cd and would be willing to put it in an iso and let me download it, i'd be forever greatful...

(no this isn't piracy... I have the activation key and all for a customer, I just can't use the product key w/windows xp pro regular version, i need the upgrade version)

Correct me if I am wrong, but dont you need the activation to match up with the CD you are using?

I think you may be right... otherwise people could guess activation codes or make a program that does that....

Why is it you can buy just licenses for XP and you don't have to buy the cd? I've done that before?

I thought as long as you had the cd you could use it to install on many pc's just as long as you had licenses for them all?

I think MS has changed. Nowadays, your CD must match your registration code for it to work properly 🙁
