Hey guys. I'm trying to make a server for my small business, and I've been looking at dual-AMD boards.

My distributor is having a hard time finding Tyan or ASUS duals, so if anyone can suggest a suitable board, let me know.

I hear the MSI K7D Master is horrible... anyone confirm?

Tyan Thunder K7X Pro with on-board SCSI option, maybe? Or (drooool) Thunder K8S and get some Opteron goodness going! :Q Check monarchcomputer.com for either of those.

From expereince I can say that just about ALL 760MPX boards will perform about the same. The biuggest difference is what comes installed on teh board like SCSI, ethernet, sound, etc....

I used a cheap Chaintech 7kdd board and it did just as well as my old Tyan. I even had a Asus as my first 760MPX board.

But I used a 64bit/66Mhz ethetnet card, onboard sound, TV Tuner card, ATI 8500 video card, etc.. and it was 100% stable. I used Crucial Reg. ECC Ram so that didn't hurt relability.
