Need a DOS program to copy a hard drive to CD-ROM

We have an old DOS program here at work. The program runs on 14 machines. Each machine's program is tweaked differently for it's specific needs. I need a way to copy the hard drive to cd so if we lose a drive, I can copy the contents from the cd back-up to the new hard drive and minimize downtime. If this were Windows it would be all too easy, but how do you do this in DOS?

I did find a program called cdroast that will make an ISO image to CD. But then what do I do with an ISO image? How do I copy that back to the new hard drive?

Norton Ghost 2003 can do that. Not sure about the latest version.

You do realize a CD will only fit 650~700 MB, right? Right? RIGHT?

He he. Of course. The program and all of it's log files are less than 50MB.

So Ghost 2003 works in DOS? Absolutely no need for Windows? I'll look into that. Thanks for the tip.

ghost should work fine

if the latest version doesnt work then find an older version, they definetly work

Yup, you boot off the Ghost CD.

Acronis True Image also runs from CD and can backup to CD
