I'm looking into buying a digital camera, but there's so many options I don't know what to get. So, in frustration, I turn to AT, answerers of all life's questions. Anyway, here's what I'm looking for:
- 4 megapixels
- Video capture with sound
- I'm not a "serious amatuer" photographer yet, but I'd like a camera with a moderate amount of advanced features I can grow into
- Form factor is very important. I want something that I can easily carry in my pocket. I especially like the shape of the Canon Powershot S50 and Fuji Finepix A340.
- Good zoom (as much optical as possible, I like it better than digital) A combined 7x-8x or more would be good
- Minimal shutter lag! I want it to take the picture when I press the button
- Total cost (including big enough memory card to hold ~50 pictures) needs to be $325 or less. If the camera you recommend uses SD media, the price of the camera can be higher, as I already have an extra SD card I could use.
Specifically, I'm looking into the Canon PowerShot S45 and Fuji FinePix A340. Does anyone have any experiences with these cameras?
Thanks everyone!
