I'm gonna build a pc using a Pentium D 915 and would like a mobo that has a good layout and good onboard sound. I dont care about Core 2 duo support but it needs to support 1.8v DDR2 667.

I dont know what is a better chipset, 945 or nforce.

Lookin to spend about 100 bucks..

thanks!

Dont really care about either, just dont wanna find out my memory wont work because the board only supports 2.0 or
have a video card not fit because of a northbridge heatsink that cant be removed like ive heard on some intel boards...

If you're willing to spend a little bit extra I'd go with a Gigabyte GA-965P-S3. I just have a hard time recommending a board that doesn't support Core 2s and use a newer chipset.

Any board will support 1.8V memory. Usually you have to worry about if a board will support higher than 1.8V memory.

The Gigabyte GA-945P-S3 also looks decent, but uses an older chipset.

Both of these motherboard only have one IDE channel btw.
