Need a cool, sub-150 dollar LCD display and fan controller

I have a friend who has the newq platinum and a friend who has the aerogate II I was thinking about buying both, but would something like the Matrix Orbital MX2 be better as a LCD display? I think my budget is pretty reasonable I really want something to wow my friends and don't feel like rehashing their stuff. Would a Matrix Orbital MX2 from directron be a good buy? It doesn't seem quite as cool as the Newq platinum but it can do a lot more... Thanks for you input guys.

edit: forgot to mention I don't know any retailer that still has the newq, i think it is no longer manufactured.
