wait til it does something goofy/silly then you'll be inspired with a name. we named our dog hershey, due to him taking a dump on the floor that looked like a hershey's kiss when he was a pup. he didn't have a name for like 3 or 4 days until that incident.

in all seriousness, when it comes to naming dogs its best to have a two part name. This makes it easier for the dog to recognize its own name. For instance, if you name your dog "Sam", it may be confused anytime you say words that sound similar to it (Ham, I am, damn, scam, cram, even SANdwhich). But if you name him "Sammy", its a two part name (Sam + me). Makes training a dog ten times easier if the dog can recognize its own name easily.
