Need a Company Logo or Web Page Template?

Hi all,

First off I"m in no way affiliated with this site but I saw it and thought it was really cool and wanted to pass it along in case anyone is in the same boat I am.

My wife is starting her own company and is trying to come up with a Logo. Someone led to me Design Outpost and I was very impressed with what i saw.

Basically you log on and create a contest with a certain Prize ($50 - $100 is the norm). THen designers from all over will come up with Logos for you and such and you can critique them and get revisions and stuff and at the end you pick the one you liked best and you now have your new logo.

Just thought I'd post the link since I had never heard of it before but I'm sure glad that someone else posted a link in a newsgroup or I'd have never heard of it.

wow, just looking at some of the contests...they look really nice to me! Some very cool looking logos.

We'll probably be using them next week if my wifes other contact for a logo falls through because she's too busy. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Damn, $150? You're going to get tonts of submissions for that. I'll keep an eye on it as I check for other every so often.

I looked through a bunch of logos by different designers and i was only impressed with maybe 2 or 3 designers at most. The concept of the site is good though. I like how you can choose amongst all those designers with one price.
