I've gotten ahold of an old Dell desktop computer. I had planned on cleaning it up and fixing it, and then giving it to someone. Well after giving it a tune up and trying to fire it up - no video. After testing all of the parts on one of my own motherboards with an IGP, it looks like the video card is dead. The fan spins correctly, but after removing the cooler and having a look at it, the chip has some noticeable gouges in it. The rest of the parts (CPU, PSU, RAM, drives) worked fine on my own motherboard after I switched the video over to the IGP.
So long story short - I need a recommendation for a cheapy PCIe x16 video card (the person I'm handing it over to will be using it for office work in XP).
