Any of you guys go through the same thing of not having a way to conveniently vacuuming your vehicle? I don't know if those dinky little handvacs can cut it... What do you guys suggest? BTW, my dog rides shotguns sometimes and sheds like no other, so it needs to be able to handle animal hair.

The dinky hand vacs suck. And I mean they are worthless. Get the mini Craftsman wet/dry vac. They are normally 30 bucks, but I got it on Sears online for 14.99.
Perfect for apt renters that want to vacuum their own car.

Okay technically they call it a hand vac. But it's not the Dustbuster style.

The cheap ones are garbage. Forget about picking up most things with those, let alone pet hair.

This one is nice, and cordless, but probably more than you wanted to spend.

The Craftsman posted above looks like it might be pretty good for the $$, although it requires an A/C plug...you'd have to find an outlet to use it.

I've got the Ridgid vaccuum linked here. One thing to note - it does not come with a battery or charger. You have to have those already for it to be useful. That being said, a shop vac isn't the right tool for pet hair. Suction isn't the problem. You need a powered bristle brush to dislodge the hair from most upholstry before it can be sucked up by the vaccuum. Shop vacs usually don't have that type of attachment.

Go to a car wash. 4 quarters and you have the best vaccuum ever, the suction on those big ass things is incredible.

Just bought a 2.5hp 2 gallon shop vac at lowes for $17.99.... that thing freaking sucks just as much as my 6.5hp big shop vac. Great deal!

Hmm, i'm going to have to see if there are any outlets near my parking spot. It'd be nice to have one of those shop vacs.
