So my aunt's monitor broke and she needs a new one I said I would help her pick one out. The family only really chats online or does research or DL's music so I know response time won't be an issue. I am looking for a monitor thats fairly inexpensive like $150ish on the high side. Any thoughts?

Check out some of the more generic brands on NewEgg, like Envision or whatnot. Or, if you could find enough Dell coupons you could drive down the price of their cheapo monitor to around $150, maybe. Finally, you could check out your local Costco, Sam's Club, or BJs - i know my Costco usually has some really good deals on 19" monitors, possibly 15"-17" monitors are included.

Hmm I wonder how much some of those monitors at wholesale places are? Also I wonder what kind of warranty I could expect.
