need a cheap 400watt+ psu

The general consensus seems to be to shy away from Powmax.

Look in the hot deals forum. You can get an Antec 400W for about $35, might be a little more shipped. Antec is highly regarded, worth the extra over the $30 for its quality.

ive been looking at this powmax 480watt link is it any good.
Wrong. If you need 400w, you have paid enough in parts to know you'd need to pay more for a PSU. Chances are, you only need a good 300-350w, which can be had for $30-$40.

i have a 300watt enermax psu but its not enoughf. it kicks out on me when i overclock(not its not the cpu its the psu), and i dont have the money to get something good right now. i just need somethiong to hold me off till the end of summer.

the words cheap and power supply dont belong in the same sentence. ive said it before and ill say it again, the power supply is THE MOST IMPORTANT part in a computer.

Nick is correct. That Enermax is better than anything you'll get for under $40, particularly for OCing. If the Enermax gives out on you, then you just need to wait until you can buy an Enermax or Fortron (FSP-xx only) 400w+ PSU.

ok, ill wate till summer. instead of the psu im getting a heatsink for my sb, ramsinks, and another led fan.

Why wouldn't you go for a 400W Antec? The price is great and this is what you were looking for. Its a little more expensive, but not too much.

Shipping is only $6 too.

that is silly. It is an important part, but definately not the most important. Infact, out of all the components in the computer, it is one of the least important

you sir, are a n00b. a bad power supply can toast every single compenent hooked up to it. i fail to see any other component in a computer that has the ability to single handely destroy every part in a computer. a quality power supply is a MUST for anyone who cares about their computer.

if you thnk that is one of the least important, you dont know much about computers.
