Need a case that can fit the H100I

Hey all,

I just switched over from my Sandybridge 2500k with 212+ to a Haswell 4770k and H100I cooler.

I have an Antec 1200 version 1 case that I was able to mount the H100i in a push/pull with 4 fans in the rear of the case. I tried to do a top mount but I didn't have the right tools to make a conversion work for a top mount with this case. Also I have a lot of hard drives and optical drives and cable management is being a PITA. So time for a case upgrade.

Anyone have any opinions on a spacious case with good cable management that would fit the H100i in a top mount push/pull? I know most of the Corsair cases would do it but any options outside of their cases? Any opinions or help would be appreciated.

The CoolerMaster HAF XM would be worth your while to have a look at.

I have both the HAF X and the HAF XM (I also have a HAF XB) and if I had had the choice back in the day I would have chosen the HAF XM over the HAF X.

I looked into the Haf X as an option. The Haf xm I didn't look at because I really wanted to go bigger / more room inside the case and a Mid tower didn't seem like it would be the best option. I already have a Full tower in the Antec 1200 it is tall but a little skinny and not as long as other full towers out.

I had seen the link that Thug had posted and read through it pretty thoroughly (it where i found out that I could mount the H100i into my Antec case) but with newer cases coming out and such I really wanted to get some opinion on what large cases people liked and that could fit the H100i with p/p with little to no modding.

The NZXT 810 switch and the Phantom 630 were options I was looking at along with the Haf X and the Corsair C70. I still wanted to get some opinions on what cases are out there that people like for airflow, cable management and has the ability to fit the H100i in a p/p and would allow me to upgrade to other cooling options down the road.

For airflow I would give the HAF XM and A and it is also a nice broad case. I also can't fault it with regard to cable management options (although the Corsair high end cases are probably better).

You might want to take a look at the Corsair 800D. They are discontinuing this case (with a lot of protest on the Corsair forum I might add) so I don't know about availability.

Of course if you want to go totally bonkers then you should go for a Corsair 900D :)

Can the CoolerMaster HAF XM fit a 2x 120 radiator ? I didnt see it on the list.

I have been going back and forth between this case or its bigger brother.

I haven't seen it on the list either so couldn't say for sure, but i personally like big spacious cases so that why i personally like the Haf X better and it's on my list instead of the XM

Yeah I keep trying to find a happy medium lol.. Had a Silverstone TJ06 forever and I loved it, but wanted to downsize so I went with a Antec mid.. Now I am feeling cramped again, wanting to upgrade to a more modern case with better airflow and cable management features.

I was just looking at the XM yesterday at Fry's and my initial impression was that it would only fit a 120x1 radiator, but I could be wrong. I saw NEC mentioned it with this cooler specifically so I figured I would ask.

If I can reasonably fit this cooler in an XM I may go with that.. If not, I think its going to be a HAF 932..

Having built a X for myself and an XM for my brother. I can tell you this much. The XM seems actually a little wider then the X and just as deep. Its just market-ably shorter (which is why they call it a mid tower).

The XM and the X do share almost the same configuration at the top. So I can't think of a reason why the X would fit it and a XM would not. Also with the top cover that they share, you can easily do push pull with four fans with two of them on top of the case but under the cover.

There so many choices lol. 600T looks nice as does the XM if it can fit the H100i (which some said it should) along with it's big brother the X and even the 932. The NXZT H630 looks really good too along with the Phantom 630 and 820 models (and I like the switch 810 too) ugh so many choices how the hell does one decide!

I've had this Antec 1200 for probably 6 years now through multiple builds it has held up like a beast! I'm hoping the next case holds up just as long

What about the Fractal Design Arc Midi.

The case will mount an H100 in the top in a push pull configuration. In fact the case has multiple water cooling configuration options.
