Need a case like the AeroCool ExtremEngine 3T, but with dust filters

I like how the AeroCool ExtremEngine 3T case looks but unfortunately I really hate dust inside my computer a lot hence I would rather not buy it since it has no dust filters.

I need a case like the AeroCool ExtremEngine 3T but with dust filters.

Is there anything like that available?

Is there anywhere I could buy dust filters that would specifically fit the fans of the AeroCool ExtremEngine 3T?

Should I just suck it up and buy another case entirely? If so, what is the coolest-looking Mid Tower case with great airflow and dust filters?

I was also wondering why the Taiwan version of the Aerocool site has a lot better selection of cases and some really cool cases that I would like that don't seem to be available in North America.

I'm also wondering why a whole bunch of Aerocool cases are using iCUTE parts, some even have the iCUTE logo on them yet they are being sold as Aerocool products and listed on the Aerocool website?

Welcome to the AT Forums.

enermax chakra is an interesting case. But it's easy enough to get filters for any fans that need it. Places like SVC.com and jab-tech.com carry good selections

Also see the Rosewill case thread here. Very nice cases but a bit more sedate than the Aerocool or Chakra and I think they come with filters. You may or may not be satisfied with the filters that come standard so you can get whatever you want from the places above.

I checked SVC.com and jab-tech.com as best I could to try and find a 250mm dust filter and a 140mm dust filter, but I couldn't find any. Are there specific links somewhere that go directly to those two things?

There are no specific filters for 140 or 250mm fans as they aren't common enough yet. You can use air conditioner foam filter material to make your own. Some swear by nylon stocking material - but being nearly two-dimensional, the nylon will clog fairly quickly so you have to keep it vacuumed out. I think I've seen some of the boxes with the 250mm fan have some kind of paper filter in them.

Before posting here I asked this question on another tech board too and they also couldn't point me to dust filters for those sizes and told me to make my own. I was hoping that here maybe someone could tell me a place to buy them but now I see they just don't exist so no one anywhere can tell me that. :(

I'm a total clueless newbie when it comes to stuff like making my own dust filters, how would I mount it and make sure it doesn't fall off?

Where would I buy air conditioner foam material from, and what is the technical name for it I'd tell the clerk so he knows what I need?

Is that washable? I need a material that is washable and then can be used again after I wash it.

Would using that material have any negative impact on airflow?

I use the hooks part of sticky-backed Velcro to hold foam in place. I suppose you could use double sided scotch tape to hold nylon stocking material in place - it's possible that it could just be sandwitched between the fan and the case metal. A little bit of creativity will supply the answer.
